jbf-photo-236x300Author of The Two Truths About Love: The Art & Wisdom of Extraordinary Relationships (New Harbinger, 2013) and formerly a Buddhist monk, Jason B. Fischer, MA, LPC is a licensed psychotherapist who maintains his private practice in Austin, Texas.  He is also the Clinical Director of Plumeria Counseling Center, a facility comprised of over thirty mental health professionals which he founded in 2009.  With a background in Buddhism and Taoism, his teachings fuse Eastern philosophy with Western psychology in a way that is readily accessible to those with little or no experience with either.  His lifelong ambition is to help others discover effective ways to gain personal mastery of themselves and their lives and, in so doing, positively benefit interpersonal harmony worldwide.  He achieves this mission through a tireless commitment to counseling, writing, public speaking, leading workshops and seminars, teaching student therapists, and—in partnership with his wife, Sunny—raising their two young sons, which he considers his most important job of all.
